The National Lutheran Choir gives a stunning performance of God be in my head, an anthem from 2005.

The Galhano-Montgomery Duo (Cléa Galhano/Vivian Montgomery) performs music for recorder and harpsichord based on the ground and variation principles, including Rigadoons, a medley of neo-Baroque dances which I wrote for them in 1998. Also on the CD: music of the Italian Baroque; Vivian's striking rendition of the Bach Passacaglia in C minor, and John Morrison's wicked and whimsical Twisted Little Ground.

The Klemp/Kachian Duo (Merilee Klemp, oboe/English horn; Christopher Kachian, guitar) performs music by composers from Minnesota. My Sonata for Oboe and Guitar opens the CD, followed by music by Cary John Franklin, Kim Sherman, Randall Davidson and Dan Kallman.

I contributed O bell' alma: Concert Paraphrase on Themes from Lucia di Lammermoor to this collection of favorites, performed by players from the Minnesota Opera and Minnesota Orchestra. Also music by Bellini, Puccini, Bizet, Massenet, Strauss, Daniel Sturm, Gluck and Verdi.

My chamber work from 1987 is performed by members of the National Orchestral Association (Denise Hoff, clarinet; Byron Tauchi, violin; Allison Voth, piano) on this American Academy/Institute Composers Award compilation. Also works by Riley, Aitken and Wolfe, performed by Irene Gubrud, Margo Garrett and The Mexico Philharmonic conducted by Paul Freeman, among others.

A sparkling collection of carols played played by flutist Linda Chatterton and harpist Nikki Christopher featuring new arrangements by Betinis, Grundahl, Lambert and Paulus. I contribute The Wassail Song.

Dorothy Maddison, soprano; Mario Balzi, piano perform unusual recital music for the holidays. My cycle, While All the World Made Merry, based on poems by British poet Charles Causley, explores some of the uncelebrated aspects of the season.
