The much-loved Cantata Singers Chamber Series continues its exploration of women poets. Pianist and Chamber Series Director Allison Voth has chosen a program featuring the poetry of Maya Angelou, Gwendolyn Brooks, H.D., Alice Fulton, Clarissa Scott Delaney, Gwendolyn B. Bennet, Helen Johnson, Dorothy Parker, Helen Birch Barlett, Winifred Bryher, Edna St. Vincent Millay, and Mary Oliver. Sung by members of Cantata Singers, this warm, inviting, and moving evening is sure to delight.
The concert will close with David Evan Thomas’s To Live in This World, in a new version for piano trio commissioned by Allison Voth. Also music by Boykin and Musto.
