Text

It is good to do one thing at a time,
to do one thing at a time,
just one, not two, to do each thing ’til it’s through,
not two, but one, to do each thing ’til it’s done.

It is good to live one day at a time,
to live one day at a time,
from dawn to dark, to live each day with a spark
from morn to night, a spark which kindles a light.

It is good to love each other today,
to love each one in a way
which lets us be who we are,
which lets us choose our own star.

And when we’ve journeyed to that bright, shining star
we’ll know in our hearts that to do one thing,
to live one day at a time is to see who we are.
